Qualify to teach online or abroad in any non-English speaking country with a 150-hour TEFL certificate from OISE University of Toronto. 

The 100-hour core curriculum covers the basics of teaching English as a foreign language.

    The 30-hour extended core curriculum offers additional training on:

    • how to teach in an online setting,
    • how to run a flipped classroom
    • and how to examine your motivations for teaching abroad.

    The final 20 hours of the course consists of 2 specialization units of your choosing. These courses are featured on your TEFL certificate and provide you with additional training on specific areas of study. 

    100% online and self-paced

    Our courses are 100% online, self-paced, and mobile-friendly. There are no in-class or scheduled components so you can complete the course from anywhere at any time.

    Job Assistance

    Upon completion of the TEFL course, you'll be invited to create a Teacher Profile at Teach Away. Use your profile to search for job postings and apply to jobs that you're interested in.     Core Curriculum (100 hours)

    Specializations (20 hours)

    An additional 20 hours of training is comprised of any two specializations of your choice.

    Extended Curriculum (30 hours)

    The final 30 hours of the 150-hour TEFL course is comprised of the following additional units:

    - Online Teaching and Learning (10 hours)

    - Learner-Centered Lessons (10 hours)

    - Teaching Abroad (10 hours)
